Women’s Fitness Mat Class

Fitness Mat Class this Wednesday! It will begin at 8 am and finish at 9am. Hopefully this will be a good time for those who have to go to work. Spread the word to your neighbors and friends – all welcome! Introducing a women’s fitness mat class! Located in the lower level of Downtown Mars Hill Church – 2333 Western Ave. Free! Open to the community Wednesdays at 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM – Bring your own mat! The class will be taught by private and group fitness trainer Gabrielle Lutze This will be a great multi level (prenatal included) yoga-style exercise class. Each class will have different themes as we to build and maintain a stronger, healthier body. Our aim is to offer a safe, fun, yet invigorating exercise experience for women of all fitness levels. It will be a place where women can enjoy consistent exercise and fellowship. Childcare available – donations appreciated. Invite your friends, there’s room for everyone.

Join us this fall for a mom’s group every other Wednesday from 9:30 AM -11:30 AM beginning October 7th at the Downtown campus. Meet with other moms for encouragement, prayer, discussion, and fellowship without your kids. The Well

The Well is a series of events aimed to connect, encourage, and mentor women in the downtown business world. The Well meets every 2nd Monday of the month at the Downtown Campus at 5:30 PM.

Baby Dedications

At Mars Hill Church we don’t baptize babies, but we do celebrate their birth with their parents by allowing parents to bring their little ones up on stage to introduce them to the church. Each family introduces themselves and reads a scripture that the Lord has given them to be a prayer of blessing, or vision for God’s future work in the life of their child. We pray with them as they dedicate their children to the Lord and dedicate themselves to raising their children according to God’s word. If you would like to dedicate your baby, please register here.

Member Meeting

All members of Mars Hill Church’s Downtown Campus are invited to come together on November 18th from 6:30 – 8:30 PM for a Member Meeting. The evening will start with a potluck style dinner followed by worship with Ghost Ship and a word from Pastor Tim. This meeting will provide an opportunity for us to corporately worship together, be reminded of what membership in a local church means, and consolidate our efforts to be on mission in Downtown Seattle. Downtown’s second annual Christmas Coat Lunch is right around the corner. On 12/12 we will be inviting the homeless community of Belltown into our building to feed them a lunch and give them a coat, a hat, and some socks. In an effort to tangibly meet the needs of the city in this way we are starting our Fall Coat Drive which will be taking place through 11/29. Please drop any coats or socks off at the donation box in the lobby.

While the media often feeds intellectual barriers to the Gospel by portraying faith and science as warring opposites, an examination of modern scientific literature actually reveals more evidence supporting the Bible than ever before in history. Mars Hill Church’s Downtown Seattle Campus is therefore excited to host a two-part Town Hall series this Fall entitled: “Creation, Design, DNA, and the Universe: Clearly Perceiving God’s Eternal Power and Divine Nature with Science” We have invited two distinguished speakers (Astrophysicist Hugh Ross and a Philosopher of Science Steven Meyer) who love Jesus and approach this subject from different angles to come talk about recent books they have written. A New Belltown Neighborhood Café

Mars Hill Downtowner, Billy Bones, was featured on King 5 this week promoting New Horizons Ministries new café, Street Bean Espresso. Street Bean Espresso will be on mission in the city by means of serving the young, marginalized, homeless population of Seattle through employment. These jobs will provide some the opportunity to leave lives of drugs, prostitution, and life on the street. Street Bean will be a part of New Horizon’s undertaking to not only tell of the life-transforming power of Christ, but to also tangibly serve like Him in deed and truth (1 John 3:18). What an awesome opportunity for the city to behold God’s glory in individuals’ lives! Click here to watch the video.
